ARTWORK:
If you're thinking of sending artwork for a job you wish or have placed please see the information below.
1. When should I send Artwork?
Only send artwork when we have the order in place. Due to the number of emails we receive it is very difficult to manage the order if artwork is sent before we have all your details.
2. What format should I send my Artwork?
We can accept many different formats. We work in Corel Draw X5 and Illustrator. We can also work with Photoshop, PDF and any BITMAP. Please make sure all fonts and outlines are converted to curves and not bleed or crop marks are added to the design.
3. How to I convert Text to outlines?
In most software you will need to select the text and then convert this using the drop down menu. In Corel Draw they call it converting to curves and in Illustrator they us outlines to describe the conversion.
4. Why do you not need crop marks?
Crop marks are usually added to prints that are either cut out using a plotter or trimmed by a guillotine. All of our prints except stickers are managed a different way so there is no need for these to be added.
5. Why do I need to convert the text to curves or outlines?
Sometimes your design will contain a font that uses one that we don't have on our system. Although it will appear fine on your system, when we try to open the file the font will be missing and will display in a default font. To save time, reduce the risk of a similar font displaying or the wrong letter spacing occuring please convert all fonts to outlines or curves.
6. What colour mode should I design in?
All printed flags and banners are printed using CMYK inks. RGB is not a printable colour mode, it is designed for computer screens and projectors. If you submit a design in RGB it will automatically undergo a conversion to CMYK prior to printing. This may alter some of the colours.
7. Can you match to a specific colour?
The only way we can match to a chosen colour is to send a Pantone reference. However due to different print processes, inks and substrates there will always be a slight different to the final product. For example a print to PVC or Textile will look slightly different to print to paper or card. To match accurately please send a physical item that you are happy with so we can colour match.
